Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ)
I grew up in the Bernese Oberland at a time when the first computers were making their way into schools. Driven by the desire to understand these “machines”, I went on to study at ETH Zurich. A constant curiosity for things and their interconnections has always shaped the direction of my professional journey. At the same time, I enjoy traveling and engaging with people and cultures from around the world.
After studying Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich, I earned a doctorate in the simulation of electromagnetic fields (EMF). This was followed by an excursion into Operations Research at the University of Zurich before taking on a role as project leader at a research foundation focused on dosimetry and the biological effects of EMF. During this time, I initiated various projects exploring diagnostics and therapies using electromagnetic fields and later established the research group “Electromagnetics in Biology and Medicine” at ETH Zurich. It was here that I also began working on magnetic field therapies. These research activities led to the founding of two companies: Luciole Medical AG and Fields at Work GmbH. My career has also included research stays in Japan and Singapore. At Piomic I am co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, where I contribute my experience and expertise to advancing our project.
A meaningful application that addresses an acute problem, as an exciting project, and a great, motivated team.
