He grew up in the Bernese Oberland, at the time when the first computers appeared in schools and landed at ETH Zurich with the aim of understanding them. Interest in things and connections was always the decisive factor for changes in direction in professional life. Apart from that I also like to be on the road and in contact with different people and cultures.
Studied electrical engineering at the ETH Zurich, followed by a doctorate in the field of simulation of electromagnetic fields (EMF). After an excursion in Operations Research at the University of Zurich, project manager in a research foundation in the field of dosimetry and biological effects of EMF’s. During this time, the development of various projects in the field of diagnosis and therapy using EMF. With this topic, a research group in the field of “Electromagnetics in Biology and Medicine” was established at the ETH. During this time the topic of magnetic field therapies was added. Two companies, Luciole Medical AG and Fields at Work GmbH, were spun off from the research activities. During this time also guest residencies in Japan and Singapore. At Piomic, I am co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer and try to support the Poro project with my experience and know-how.
