Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, University of Strathclyde
Growing up in the region of Zürich I was fully absorbed by sports and was even able to represent Switzerland internationally in Freestyle Aerials competitions all over the world. Not surprisingly I have had some unintentional contact with medical devices during that time and was highly fascinated by the possibilities of modern medicine.
Due to my interest in medicine very early on into my studies in mechanical engineering I decided to focus in biomedical engineering. After more than 10 years working in different fields such as orthopaedics, lung- and heart surgery and wound care I finally joined Piomic early 2018. As I am very interested in understanding why and how innovations are performing on the market I also graduated in business while trying to solve the mystery of successful innovation. Due to my broad interest and experiences I am supporting Piomic in a very broad role as COO at Piomic.
What do I love about Piomic?
Working every day with a highly motivated team in order to help patients with hard to heal wounds is the best thing I could imagine!
