Bertrand Hughes appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors

Highly experienced advanced wound care leader appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Piomic Medical, at the forefront of innovation in the treatment of hard-to-heal wounds, today announces the appointment of Bertrand Hughes as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Hughes is a highly experienced wound care executive with a track record of more than 30 years in the medical device industry.

Mr. Hughes currently serves as a Member of the Board at compliant concept AG, which is a leader in pressure ulcer and fall prevention. From 2012 to 2015, he was the Global Business Director for Electrical Stimulation Wound Therapy of Mölnlycke Healthcare, and from 1999 to 2001 President of Mölnlycke Healthcare Inc..

Mr. Hughes holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Barth, an MBA in Business Administration from INSEAD.
