Andy Weymann

Andy studied medicine at the University of Zurich, followed by several years of surgical residency in Zurich and Davos. For over 25 years he has held various leadership positions in the industry, starting with the AO Foundation, where he led and transformed their educational approach globally and built the largest communities in the specific fields. During this time, he earned his MBA from the University of Rochester, NY in the USA.

Through an acquisition, he joined Smith+Nephew, where he served as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for nearly 14 years, leading the company’s clinical and medical departments, including Advanced Wound Care. With his strategic oversight, he significantly led and expanded the market with the company’s key acquisitions in these areas. Together with his team, he brought many transformative wound care products to market and received the Nice recommendation for their NPWT product PICO. Andy has led very successfully many business development and expansion activities throughout his career.

Since 2020, Andy sits on the board of directors of transformative wound healing companies and also led the deventure of 30 Technology’s wound healing business to Convatec. He can leverage his deep medical understanding, industry network and experience to bring more breakthrough treatments to patients worldwide.
